Dear Valued Customer

I just want to thank again you for visiting "Crystal Clear Window Washing."  We had another successful year.  Business is growing despite the present state of our economy.  We must be doing something right.  We do strive for 100% satisfaction.  It’s a big job to have so many satisfied customers!

I am often asked what I do in the winter since it’s difficult to do window cleaning when it’s freezing!  But this year we actually cleaned windows all the way up to Christmas.  Weather was a factor.  I believe we got everyone in that needed their windows done.

As you may know, I take the winter time off to go down to Guatemala where I keep an old boat.  I also work doing canvas and sail repair for the boating community.  I have a semi-second home at a marina there.  So between working on my boat and the marina, I am able to work off the storage fees for the next year.

I also try to return back to the people of Guatemala.  There is an orphanage there called "Casa Guatemala."  This year I have collected material to re-cover the mattresses in the orphanage.  The kids are sleeping directly on foam, and the material has long since disintegrated.  So this year I'll use my sewing abilities to re-cover the foam so they have something between their skin and the foam.

My boat needs a new motor so I am also bringing in a new motor.  Once installed, I'll relocate the boat in front of the orphanage so I'll be closer to my project.  The orphanage is on the river.  There are no roads to and from the orphanage.

Hopefully I'll learn a little more Spanish in which to communicate better with the children and the locals.  The children are great teachers and are eager to teach everyone something.  It’s hard to say “no” to a child who is scrambling to sit on your lap and have you read a Spanish children’s book to them.

My plan is to be home in Colorado sometime in March to resume the window washing business.  I'll get back to work, advertising and making appointments.  Please keep in mind that the spring is a very busy time for me and my crew.  So get on the calendar early to ensure that you get a time that is convenient for you.  I’ll be able to communicate via email and do scheduling from Guatemala.  So if it crosses your mind, send an email and I’ll get you on the schedule.  Keep in mind that there may be a delay in communications.

I am enclosing another couple of pages describing an opportunity for you to let the children of "Casa Guatemala" know that there are caring people in the world.  Please give it consideration.

Thank you for your support.
